The Business

The Ed Irvine Designs logo

Ed Irvine Designs is a Regina, Saskatchewan based design studio specializing in 3D printed shadowbox art, home décor and more. Established in 2024, Ed Irvine took a 3D printing class, bought a machine, and has been printing stuff ever since.

The Technology

Ed is the proud owner of a Flashforge Adventurer 5M printer. It has been a great machine and an excellent one to learn the ins and outs of machine settings and maintenance. Ed uses OrcaSlicer for slicing software, and primarily runs Overture PLA+ filament. Ed does his design work using a combination of Inkscape and Tinkercad.

The Owner

Raised in small town Saskatchewan, Ed considers himself an artist and 3D printer. He also plays guitar and dabbles in song writing and music production. He spent 15 years in the electrician’s trade before retiring from it to focus on pursuing his hobbies. When not pursuing artistic ventures, Ed can be found reading a good book or walking his dog through the neighbourhood.
